Common questions.
The microphone isn’t detecting my notes. What should I do?
Make sure HarpBend has microphone access enabled in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. Aim for a green level on the input meter — too quiet and detection becomes unreliable.
Which harmonica keys are supported?
22 diatonic keys. C, A and G are free; the 19 others come with the Keys Pack. Tap the key button (top left) to switch instantly.
What’s included for free?
Real-time pitch detection, the full diatonic grid in C, A and G, Major and Natural Minor scales, Major and Minor chords, 3 progressions (12-Bar Blues, ii–V–I and “Fading Light”, with its scrolling melody), metronome with click, and the Simple bass pattern.
How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
Open any pack’s paywall and tap Restore purchases at the bottom. All packs will be restored using your Apple ID.
How do I create a custom chord progression?
Tap Grids (on iPhone, in the ⋯ menu) → My Progressions → New Progression. Set name, tempo, time signature, then add chords one by one.
How do I read the grid?
Blow notes sit on the rows above the hole numbers, draw notes on the rows below. Bends extend outward: above the blow notes, below the draw notes. Colours follow the theme you choose, and the active cell lights up in real time as you play.
