HarpBend (“the app”) is developed and maintained by Nicolas Bertaux (“we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is used. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

HarpBend does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, address)
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Usage analytics or crash reports sent to our servers
• Audio recordings — microphone input is processed in real time on-device only and never saved or transmitted

3. Microphone Access

HarpBend requests access to your device’s microphone solely for real-time pitch detection. Audio data is analysed locally on your device using Apple’s audio frameworks. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted at any time.

You can revoke microphone access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. Note that pitch detection will not function without microphone access.

4. In-App Purchases

HarpBend offers optional In-App Purchases (Scales Pack, Chords Pack, Bass Patterns Pack, Songs Pack, Chromatic Pack, and HarpBend Complete bundle). All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchase records are managed by your Apple ID.

5. Local Storage

HarpBend stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Your custom chord progressions
• App settings and preferences (selected key, theme, metronome settings, etc.)
• Unlocked pack status (managed by StoreKit on-device)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

6. Third-Party Services

HarpBend does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app does not contain any advertisements.

7. Children’s Privacy

HarpBend is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from users of any age.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
