Requirements
· iPad running iOS 15.2 or later
· An AUv3 host app — LoopMix is designed for AUM and does not load in GarageBand
· An audio interface for multi-track use
Common Questions
The plugin doesn’t appear in my host.
LoopMix is an Audio Unit music effect (aumf), a type that not every host lists — it does not load in GarageBand, for example. It is designed for AUM: if it doesn’t appear there, open the LoopMix app once after installing, then restart AUM.
No audio signal.
Check that the plugin is inserted as an FX slot on an audio channel with a physical input assigned.
MIDI CC commands are not received.
In AUM, make sure the MIDI channel is routed to the LoopMix instance. Set all instances to the same MIDI channel. Then check the CC assigned to each action in Settings → MIDI: every action is remappable, and Defaults restores CC 80–85.
Master/Slave sync doesn’t work.
Master/Slave sync requires all instances to run in the same host process. This works in AUM with sandboxSafe mode.
